Terms and Conditions for Canopius Crossword:

  1. The promoter of this prize draw is Canopius Managing Agents Limited whose registered office is at Gallery 9, One Lime Street, London EC3M 7HA (“the Promoter”).
  2. One winner will be chosen at random by the Promoter from all of the completed and correct entries received prior to the closing date.
  3. The closing date for entries is 23.59 on 25th March 2018 and the winner will be notified on or before 30 March 2018.
  4. The winner will win a Fortnum and Mason hamper to the value of £125.
  5. To enter the prize draw, eligible entrants must complete the crossword with the correct answers and submit their entry by either emailing a copy to crossword@canopius.com or drop a hardcopy marked with contact information in person to Canopius reception.
  6. By entering into the prize draw, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these rules.
  7. Entry is free and is open to those aged 18 years old or over and proof of identity and age may be required. Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
  8. All marketing department employees of the Canopius UK group (including but not limited to Canopius Managing Agents Limited and Canopius Services Limited), and group company marketing department employees, their immediate families and anyone else involved in the promotion of the prize draw, including any printers and agents, suppliers of the prize and any other companies associated with the prize draw, are excluded from entry.
  9. Only one entry may be made per person. The Promoter will disallow duplicate entries where it finds them.
  10. Prizes shall be awarded at the Promoter’s discretion and if it considers any entrant has acted inappropriately or dishonestly in entering into the prize draw, it reserves the right to refuse to award any prize.
  11. No purchase is necessary to claim a prize.
  12. The winner will be confirmed by email. If they cannot be contacted the Promoter reserves the right to offer that prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random.
  13. The Promoter may award a prize to the second chosen entry if the prize remains unclaimed after the prize notification is sent.
  14. No responsibility or liability is accepted for lost entries. Further, to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors shall not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to the winner for any loss or damage howsoever caused as a result of the winner taking up the prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter.
  15. The winner will be announced and posted on the Canopius social media pages once contacted.
  16. Prizes are as stated and are subject to availability and the suppliers’ terms and conditions. In the event of any prize being unavailable for any reason outside the Promoter’s control it reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal value. The Promoter is not responsible for the quality of any goods or services supplied.
  17. All prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash or other alternative. Prizes may be taxable and the winner will be responsible for any tax arising.
  18. All prizes will be sent within 30 days of notification as long as valid contact details are provided.
  19. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into and it reserves the right to amend or alter the terms of the prize draw.
  20. Winners will reasonably cooperate with publicity as a result of winning and this is likely to include names and photos being published on the Canopius intranet site. If the Promoter wishes to publish names and photos on the Canopius website and/or social media sites (such as LinkedIn and Twitter) then the Promoter will seek your explicit consent to do so.
  21. All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter.
  22. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any action arising out of these terms shall be litigated in, and only in, the courts of England and Wales, and the winner hereby agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts and further agree that they are a convenient forum.
