Our General Liability team focuses on non-contracting UK-domiciled businesses, with a preference towards public and products liability dominated risks.

Our portfolio is broadly based and may include:

• Publishers
• Retailers
• Sports Clubs
• Tour Operators

We do not underwrite pharmaceutical risks, railways, aviation, marine risks or offshore risks and we avoid risks with heavy employers' liability exposures.

We focus on our core areas of expertise and pride ourselves on our flexibility and service, combined with sound underwriting judgement in developing products tailored to the needs of our clients. The largest proportion of our book is written 100%, however we are willing to follow other respected market lead underwriters where appropriate.

The business is written predominantly through Lloyd's brokers, with whom we work closely to provide products appropriate to customers' requirements. Our UK service company, Canopius Underwriting Limited allows ease of administration for this business.
