We underwrite a portfolio of Professional Indemnity insurance for UK and International markets (excluding the US).

The predominant focus of our Professional Indemnity business is small to mid tier UK professional organisations, but we also support specialist coverholders overseas who underwrite similar SME business. Professions protected include:

• Insurance brokers
• Employment agencies

• Health and safety consultants
• Loss adjusters
• Information technology professionals.

Our underwriting team has considerable strength and experience in its specialist areas and is an acknowledged leader in this class of business. We aim to use our experience to provide bespoke policies tailored for our clients' needs as appropriate.

In addition to accepting business from Lloyd's brokers, we distribute products through our UK service company Canopius Underwriting Limited which targets similar UK based business through regional brokers. This company has established its own brand and provides a high level of service to its customers.

We also write some business in Australia via our Managing General Agent, Resource Underwriting Pacific Pty. Ltd, which has developed a strong franchise for professional indemnity insurance in the local market over the last 19 years
