Casualty Treaty
We are a leading Lloyd's underwriter writing a wide range of Casualty Treaty Excess of Loss reinsurances, for clients located in all territories outside of North America
We write a broad portfolio of business, combining a strictly technical underwriting approach with a high level of service to our brokers and clients. The portfolio comprises:
- Liability: general third party, employers' liability / workers' compensation, professional, financial and miscellaneous
- Motor: predominantly international business including unlimited protections where appropriate
- Short tail: personal accident, kidnap and ransom, contingency, bloodstock, product recall and credits and bonds
- Retrocession: focusing on reinsurance of European reinsurers and Lloyd's syndicates
Through application of our underwriting expertise and technical, proactive approach, we have the capability and flexibility to anticipate and swiftly respond to market developments. We design new and original products to meet our clients' needs. Our underwriters travel and visit domestic and overseas clients regularly in order to build and strengthen relationships. This activity is underpinned by offering a high level of service to our business producers.
Canopius also underwrites a book of regional Asian Casualty Treaty reinsurance through its international operation in Singapore, Canopius Asia.
