We underwrite Excess Casualty business for Fortune 1000 and FTSE 250 industries, offering high quality Lloyd's (A+/A) security.

Canopius Underwriting Bermuda Limited is a wholly-owned Bermuda-based underwriting agency which operates as a Lloyd's-approved coverholder for Syndicate 4444.

In addition to underwriting traditional Fortune 1000 excess liability business (typically comprised of products and general liability), we will selectively consider writing stand-alone Commercial Construction Wrap-Up business, Life Sciences and Punitive Damage Wraps. Most of this business will be direct insurance, but may be written on a reinsurance basis (e.g. where the corporate captive is the named insured). The business written has a US-focus, although non-US business is also written.

We aim to provide solutions and outstanding service to our clients, over and above the provision of capacity. Through use of advanced technology, we aim to achieve policy issuance at the time of risk acceptance. We seek to develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and business producers.
