CLAIMS AS A RESULT OF THE ICELAND VOLCANIC ERUPTION:
Following the recent eruption of the Icelandic volcano, Grimsvotn, there is the distinct possibility that a number of flights will be grounded, and will not be permitted to fly in UK and other country's controlled airspace
Providing that you did not book your trip when it was known that there were airport closures or flights grounded, Canopius can confirm that claims that may arise out of cancellation or abandonment following the grounding of flights will be considered as will travel delay claims, subject to the usual policy terms and conditions. It is strongly recommended to check your policy wording carefully to confirm that either or both of these sections are contained within your policy wording and that there is specific mention of volcanic activity or adverse weather conditions.
