New York, 10 August 2026 — Canopius Group, a leading global Specialty and P&C (re)insurer, today announces the appointment of Greg Kuchinski as US Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
Greg will report to Canopius Group CUO Sam Harrison and to incoming Canopius US CEO, Nadine Moore, and will join the US Executive Committee to support the continued growth and underwriting excellence in a strategically important market. He will join Canopius on 9 September 2026.
Based in New York, Greg joins Canopius with extensive experience across the US P&C and specialty insurance market. Most recently, he served as Chief Underwriting Officer, North America Property at AIG, where he was responsible for portfolio strategy, profitability, and underwriting growth across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio.
Earlier roles at AIG included leadership positions spanning retail property, large limits underwriting, energy, and engineering risks.
