London, 30 June 2025 — Canopius Group, a leading global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, today announces the appointment of Jess Steel as Head of Human Resources for the UK, effective immediately.
Jess has extensive senior HR experience predominantly gained from various financial services organisations including CCI, HSBC, Santander Global Banking Markets and DWF LLP.
Jess brings an excellent track record of successfully partnering the business to drive effective people strategies, large-scale M&A transformation and delivering value add talent, employee engagement and organisational culture initiatives across global, complex and fast-paced organisations.
In her new role, Jess will be responsible for leading the UK HR function, supporting Canopius’ growing employee base across its London and Manchester offices. Jess will play a key role in deepening the company’s positive and winning culture, and supporting Canopius’ continued strategic growth, talent development, and attraction across the UK. Jess will also sit on the Canopius UK Executive Committee.
