London, 3 February 2026 — Canopius Group, a leading global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, today announced a significant new addition to its Group Leadership Team with the appointment of Jasan Fitzpatrick as General Counsel, reinforcing the Group’s continued growth trajectory and global ambition.
Jasan will report to Group Chief Executive Officer Neil Robertson. He joins Canopius in a newly created role, with responsibilities that previously sat under the remit of Chief Risk Officer Sheldon Lacy. He will join Canopius on 1st April 2026.
Jasan joins from Legal & General where he is Group M&A Director, responsible for leading global deal activity across the Group. Having previously held General Counsel roles at Legal & General Capital, Cala Homes, Premium Credit, and Northern Rock, Jasan brings extensive corporate and regulatory legal experience that will be instrumental in supporting Canopius as it continues to expand its footprint in the jurisdictions where it is based.
