Chicago, 27 October 2025 – Canopius Group, a leading global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Leftwich as Regional Head of Strategy and Transformation, US, effective October 20, 2025.
Lisa brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate strategy, communications, and sustainability. She joins Canopius from Zurich North America, where she held several senior leadership roles, most recently Head of Sustainability Services at Zurich Resilience Solutions. Her previous roles include Director of Value Proposition Development, Chief of Staff for North America Commercial Insurance, and Director of Communications Services. Earlier in her career, Lisa held senior communications roles at Navistar and Verety LLC.
Lisa’s appointment reflects Canopius’ commitment to building a strong, nimble, and collaborative business in the US. In her new role, she will lead strategic initiatives across Canopius’ US operations, with a focus on continued growth and transformation. This position plays a key part in Canopius’ strategy to expand its presence and accelerate business development across the US.
Lisa will work closely with underwriting, distribution, and operations teams to drive innovation, enhance execution, and deliver long-term value for clients and partners.
