Canopius Appoints New Independent Non-Executive Directors (INEDs) Following Planned Board Succession

London, 16 December 2025 – Canopius Group Limited (CGL) today announces the appointment of Katherine Letsinger, Torbjörn Magnusson, and Tom Bradley as Independent Non-Executive Directors (INEDs) to its Board. As part of the succession process, the Board confirms that Ian Owen and Paul Ceurvorst have retired from the Board at its December 2025 meeting, and that Peter Hazell will retire from the Board in March 2026. The Board extends its sincere thanks to all three retiring members for their distinguished service and significant contributions.

Katherine Letsinger will join the Boards of CGL and, subject to regulatory approval, Canopius Managing Agents Limited (CMA) in March 2026 as Chair of the Audit Committees for both entities. She will also serve on the Remuneration, Risk, and Nominations & Governance Committees.

Drawing on nearly 40 years of experience in the specialty insurance sector, Katherine was most recently the Group Chief Financial Officer at Tokio Marine HCC Insurance Holdings (International) Ltd and has held senior leadership roles at Wellington Underwriting plc and Price Waterhouse Insurance Services. Katherine also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at UK Trader Exports. She brings expertise in insurance, regulatory compliance, audit, finance, and governance to the Board.

To ensure continuity through the year-end audit cycle, she will shadow Peter Hazell, Audit Chair for CGL and CMA at the December 2025 and February 2026 meetings before taking up the chair in March 2026.

Torbjörn Magnusson has joined the CGL Board as Chair of the Risk Committee and will also serve on the Audit, Remuneration, Environment, Social and Sustainability (ESS), and Nominations & Governance Committees.

With over three decades of leadership in European insurance and financial services, Torbjörn has served as Group CEO of Sampo Group plc and previously as President and CEO of If P&C Insurance. Torbjörn currently serves as a Board Director at Hastings Group and brings extensive experience in risk management, strategy and board leadership.

Paul Ceurvorst will continue to chair the CMA Risk Committee through to 2026.

Tom Bradley has joined the CGL Board as a member of the Audit and Risk Committees.

With more than 40 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, and financial services, Tom has held senior leadership roles including Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Argo Group, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Allied World Assurance Company, and Fair Isaac Corporation and Head of Operations at Zurich North America. Tom currently serves as an Independent Director at Horace Mann Educators Corporation, Palomar Holdings, and CopperPoint Insurance Co. He brings significant expertise in financial reporting, audit oversight, strategic transactions and investor engagement to the Board.
