London, 4 February 2026 — Canopius Group, a leading global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, today announced the appointment of Adrian Phipps to the role of Chief People Officer (CPO), leading the business’ people strategy, with a focus on talent development, culture, and supporting the company’s continued growth.
Adrian will report to Group Chief Executive Officer Neil Robertson. He will succeed long-standing Chief HR Officer Barbara Turner, who will retire later this year after more than a decade with the organisation. Adrian will join Canopius in June 2026.
Adrian is an accomplished people and HR leader whose career spans senior roles across major organisations. He most recently served as Chief People Officer at luxury travel deals company Secret Escapes, supporting the business through a period of significant growth and change, while developing a strong people function. Previously, he held significant leadership positions including People Director at broadcast technology firm Arqiva, and HR Director for UK Personal Insurance at RSA.
