Singapore, 21 September 2026 – Canopius Group, a leading global Specialty and P&C (re)insurer, today announced the appointments of Richard Adamczyk as Senior Claims Manager, ANZ, Louise Wai as Head of Property D&F, APAC, and Jack Hullah as Head of Credit and Political Risk, APAC, further strengthening its underwriting and claims capabilities across Asia Pacific.
Richard joins Canopius on 28 September and is based in Melbourne. He joins from the Legal Practitioners’ Liability Committee, where he served as Head of Claims. Prior to that, Richard spent 15 years with AIG, most recently as Head of Financial Lines Claims, Pacific. Bringing extensive experience across the legal and insurance sectors, Richard will play a key role in advancing Canopius’ claims capability and support brokers, coverholders, and insureds across ANZ and the wider APAC region.
Based in Singapore, Louise joins Canopius on 1 November from Helvetia Swiss Insurance Company Ltd (Singapore Branch), where she last served as Underwriting Manager, Engineering and Property Solutions, Asia. With more than 25 years of experience across the region, she is widely recognised for building profitable portfolios, developing strong market relationships and driving underwriting excellence.
Also based in Singapore, Jack joins Canopius on 10 November from AXA XL, where he most recently served as Regional Product Lead for Asia Credit & Political Risk. He brings more than 15 years of experience spanning credit strategy and trading, political risk and credit insurance, structured finance, and regional business development, with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering profitable growth across international markets.
The appointments reflect Canopius’ ambition to continue building market-leading specialty underwriting and claims capabilities across APAC. Together, Richard, Jack and Louise will help deepen broker and client relationships, support profitable growth, and reinforce Canopius’ reputation for technical expertise, responsive service, and claims excellence across the region.
