London, 6 January 2026 – Canopius Group, a leading global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, today announces the appointment of Raluca Efford to the newly created role of UK Head of Strategy & Transformation, effective immediately.
In this role, Raluca will lead the strategy and transformation agenda for Canopius in the UK, ensuring strategy is tightly aligned with Canopius’ purpose, priorities, and growth ambitions. Raluca will also sit on the Canopius UK Executive Committee.
Raluca brings extensive experience across strategic transformation, organisational effectiveness, and growth acceleration, including leadership roles at Direct Line Group and, more recently, at Vemi, a fintech banking start-up. She has an excellent track record of helping organisations shape clear strategies and strengthen the capabilities needed to win in fast-paced environments.
