Singapore, 15 August 2025 – Canopius Group, a leading global specialty (re)insurer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jinnan Tang as Casualty Treaty Underwriter, effective 11 August 2025. Based in Singapore, Jinnan joins the APAC regional team, reporting to Andrew Parker and Micia Yong in their respective leadership roles.
Jinnan brings more than 12 years of experience across underwriting, pricing, reserving, and actuarial analysis. He joins from MS Amlin Singapore, where he led casualty and marine treaty portfolios across APAC and MENA, developed the Marine FMX strategy, and successfully doubled marine premium despite challenging market conditions. He also played a key role in mentoring junior talent, advancing portfolio analysis, and contributing to regional growth through strategic market engagement.
Earlier in his career, Jinnan held actuarial roles in London with Westfield Specialty and Aon Reinsurance Solutions. During this time, he led pricing initiatives across UK motor, international liability, and marine portfolios. He also provided strategic guidance on reserving, capital modelling, and pricing at Insight Risk Consulting. His cross-regional experience and technical depth enable him to deliver tailored solutions in complex reinsurance environments world-wide.
