London, 16 October 2025 – Canopius, a leading international specialty and P&C (re)insurer, today announces it has appointed Camilla Walker as Head of Cyber and Technology, UK.
Camilla has been promoted into the role to spearhead its continued development. She became Deputy Head of the department in 2023 following three and a half years as a cyber underwriter in the team. She joined Canopius as the business acquired AmTrust in 2019 and brings experience from both Lloyd’s and Liberty Specialty.
During her tenure, Camilla has led multiple initiatives to diversify the cyber book and supercharge its growth. This includes the development and launch of ‘Cyber Space’ to open a new distribution stream by providing access to capacity for clients with less than £100m in revenue.
Canopius has made significant investments into its Cyber business, through its Incident Response, Threat Intelligence and Proactive Services. This market-leading proposition is having the impact that was planned for – Canopius Cyber is regarded by the broker community as offering value beyond capacity which has enabled the cyber team to continue to win more business.
Camilla succeeds Michael Shen, former Head of Cyber and Technology, UK, effectively immediately.
